Fuel Storage......

Was wondering what others do for supplemental fuel storage. Just picked up a 100 gal tank off of a semi. ( was already detached :)) Paid $25.00 for it. He also had a 55g, 72 gal and 80. Is a mechanic I know who works on Large trucks and heavy equipment.

Well, got the tank cleaned and turns out its aluminum and 120 gal. Had to patch one hole at top ( had a hose in it , not needed ) and make a couple of stands. Gonna paint it black and stick in garage for Kerosene.

500 and 1000 gal tanks, plus smaller portables. I have 110, 12v, and hand pumps, plus gravity feed.

The worst problem is hiding the big tanks. I figure if I can't protect them I'm scroomed anyway, but they would be pretty easy to punch with a rifle even at 600+ yards.

Anything is better than nothing, and I bet 120 gal of kerosene puts you ahead of 99.9% of Amerikans.

Looks good, cleaned up nice.

I use 55gal metal drums for diesel storage, and a tuthil hand pump...

Great deal,good idea-paid 1700 for a new single wall 1000 gallon.
You might need a vent.Twelve volt pumps are cheap enough and worth it.

Your right about the storage issue but I used a green tarp and from a distance it does not look like a 600 gallon fuel tank.

Here is one of my storage tanks and my (150 Gallon) transport tank in back of truck.

Better pic of transport tank.

1 tank finished, couple more to go. Almost kept this one in my truck for diesel. Fit real good, and supports I made would have worked in the bed. Would have gave me 158 gal including 38 gallon onboard tank. Time to hit a couple more truck shops.
